PR campaign for the most expensive bed linen in the world

Mona Liza is one of the well-known Russian brands of the Monolit textile association, which has been producing home textiles for children and adults, as well as special products for medicine, restaurants, hotels and other sectors of the economy since 1992.
The main production facilities of the company are located in the Moscow and Kursk regions. The average production volume is about 500,000 pieces per month. Products are sold in all major chain stores and online sites.

In October 2022, the management of Monolit turned to SEA Company with a request to conduct a PR campaign in federal and highly cited media on Day of Russia.

PROBLEM

Over the 30 years of its existence, the Monolit company has not only become a leader in the textile industry, but also left its mark on the history of modern Russia. In March 1998, Monolith employees dressed the Worker and Collective Farm Woman monument in the colors of the Russian tricolor, and in 2007 they sewed the largest set of bed linen "for Gulliver", which was included in the Guinness Book of Records. In 2022, the craftswomen of the Kursk factory MONA LIZA sewed the most expensive bedding set in the world, Soul of Rus' by Mona Liza, worth more than 3 million rubles.

In the current conditions of an unstable information field, the company saw great risks in promoting on its own, fearing to provoke a negative reaction. However, it was also not possible to completely abandon the PR campaign. The company needed a professional PR consultant with the necessary level of connections, strategic thinking and the ability to anticipate risks several steps ahead.

DECISION

For PR coverage at the federal level, SEA Company specialists proposed to conduct a targeted PR campaign through journalists of highly cited media from the tier 1 list that are relevant to the topic. This approach allows you to get maximum audience coverage with minimal investment for the brand.

REALISATION

On the basis of available marketing information about the "Soul of Rus'" bed linen set, the SEA Company's PR and Advertising Department wrote and agreed with the customer a news press release that conveys the idea of the ideological inspirer and the meaning inherent in it.

The project PR-manager carried out pitching of federal media journalists for the subsequent release of news publications.

RESULT

1. PR-preparation of the product was made with the possibility of further use of press materials by the brand's in-house team.

2. The news about the release of the Soul of Rus' by Mona Liza bedding set was published in the TOP-10 and TOP-30 most cited media according to Medialogy.

3. The final AVE indicator was more than 2,500,000 rubles, and the total coverage was more than 139,000,000 people.
