Russia will host the World Tourism Forum for the first time. It will be attended by more than 1 thousand representatives of tourism business from different countries. Russia for the first time takes the most significant event in the world tourism and leisure industry: the World Tourism Forum, which will be held on 28 January 2017 in Moscow, as RIA Novosti reported.
According to the International Institute for Marketing and Social Research (GfK), which published the «Index of national brands Anholt-GfK», in 2016 the attractiveness of Russia as a tourist brand increased: the country rose to 23rd position in the rating list from 26th in the preceding year. «On 28 January 2017, at the Ritz Carlton hotel, for the first time Russia will host the World Tourism Forum. The philosophy of the World Tourism Forum is based on two key principles: peace and cooperation. The mission of the forum is to establish relations between cultures, religions and peoples for the unification of people from different countries», as the message says. More than 1000 guests, including hoteliers and representatives of the largest tourism operators, agencies and companies from Europe, Asia, Russia, Turkey and the Gulf countries, will come to Moscow to discuss the tourist prospects of our country. The agenda of the event includes industry trends this season, marketing and the impact of foreign policy on the industry. One of the central themes of the Forum is online tourism as a journey of a new format. The experts will also discuss Russia's huge potential in the field of ecotourism, health, cultural, business and even space tourism programs. A significant place in the program of the Russian World Tourism Forum is the theme of sports tourism. The Global Meeting of the World Tourism Forum will be held on 16-17 February 2017 in Istanbul, where the most prominent political and public figures, sportsmen and businessmen will gather to discuss the problems and prospects of the global tourism industry.
