BRITISH TEA COMPANY NEWBY TEAS BECAME THE WINNER OF GLOBAL TEA CHAMPIONSHIP™ 2017

On 23 March 2017, the tea company Newby Teas won the Global Tea Championship 2017. The event brought together the best tea professionals from around the world who evaluated teas available in the markets of Europe and the USA according to different criteria. 245 teas of various producers took part in the independent blind tasting. The evaluation was carried out according to the following parameters: appearance of the tea leaf, infusion, taste characteristics.

Despite the high competition, Newby Teas became the only tea company that received three awards at once this year:

• In the nomination «Non-flavored teas» - Green Sencha
• In the nomination of «Black classic non-flavored teas» - Darjeeling
• In the nomination of «Green flavored teas» - Eastern Sencha

A collection of packaged teas, which won the contest, was created specifically to ensure that all connoisseurs of tea could make a fresh and quality drink at any time and in any place.
