TOURISTS FROM THE MIDDLE EAST WANT TO RUSSIA!

On 13 March 2017, in the terms of a familiarization tour for representatives of travel companies and tour operators, mass media and airlines from the Middle East, with the support of Gulf Air, a business dinner was held at the legendary Metropol Hotel. Representatives of the delegation spoke about the great interest of tourists from Kuwait and Bahrain to Moscow, caused, among other things, as a result of active promotion of Russia in the terms of the activities of Visit Russia in Kuwait, and the host surprised the guests with an animated excursion to the historical hotel and exhibition of the painting «Sunset» by Svetlana Smirnova.

«The purpose of our visit is to develop and increase the tourist flow to Russia, and many residents of the Middle East are also following with great expectation the preparation for the FIFA World Cup in Russia in 2018. That is why it is important for them to be sure, that there are enough places in Russia offering the Halal standards, developed infrastructure and a high level of service and security», said Mr. Basel Al Aswad, representative of Visit Russia in Kuwait.

During the visit, the members of the delegation were able not only to visit the iconic tourist places of the capital, but also to test the best Moscow hotels, such as the Metropol Hotel, the Petrovsky Palace Hotel, the Marriott Novy Arbat Hotel, the Standard Hotel and others.

The visit of the business mission to Kuwait, consisting of representatives of travel companies and tour operators, hotels and tourist and excursion sites of Moscow, will take place at the beginning of April 2017.
