On the 27 of June, 2019, with the support of the Department of foreign economic and international relations of Moscow, Capital Ideas magazine held a round table «Moscow on the tourist map of the world after the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Successes and prospects of the megapolis». The event brought together more than 50 representatives of the media, tourism industry representatives from capital and regions of Russia, Ministry of the foreign Affairs and the Moscow Government.
As part of the evaluation of the PR effect of FIFA 2018 and its impact on the tourism potential of the city, Andrey Shemyakin, Managing partner of SEA Company, made a report. Andrey informed the participants of the round table about the facts that have a positive, but short-term PR effect for the capital, and also gave the results of the studies of the company's offices from USA, France, Portugal and the UAE, where it is talked about a strong «negative political image» of Russia. This mainly prevents the increase of tourists in the capital. Andrey also shared with his colleagues the plan of activities that, according to SEA Company, should be implemented for the successful development of the tourist attractiveness of Moscow abroad. As a successful example of promotion of the capital was noted the project "
Days of Moscow" developed by the Department of foreign economic and international relations of Moscow.
