How to start developing a golf and yacht club as a venue for events

GOLF & YACHT CLUB PESTOVO is a private premium-class club with a developed infrastructure, built in accordance with international standards, modeled on the best golf clubs in the world and has no analogues in Moscow and the Moscow region. In June 2022, the club took first place in the Forbes Russia magazine ranking among the best golf clubs in Russia.

PROBLEM

In May 2022, the management of the golf and yacht club approached the SEA Company with a request to analyze the possibilities of the golf and yacht club as an event venue, as well as to propose a set of solutions to increase sales from existing and new MICE customers. An important feature is the period of events - these can only be weekdays from Monday to Thursday as the club values the comfort and privacy of its members, as well as the reputation of a premium and private facility.

DECISION

After the meetings with management, it was decided to start work with the creation of a basic document - Sales Kit - without which it is impossible to provide high-quality services for renting venues and organizing events. This document will help not only to structure all the possibilities of the sites, but also to understand what marketing materials are missing, as well as to formulate a detailed offer that meets the latest market trends.

REALISATION

The first stage of implementation was the collection of all schemes and site parameters, as well as possible services for corporate customers. Based on the results of the analysis, a recommendation was made to conduct professional photography of the venues, because the current photo bank did not provide customers with a real picture of expensive interiors and picturesque outdoor areas.

As part of the second stage, the designers created a multi-page presentation with information about all the halls and venues of the Pestovo club, which clearly reflects the possibilities for holding outdoor events - from a small round table to large conferences and private weddings. In addition, the designers drew up a detailed layout of the halls within the club house and the yacht club, which is one of the most important parameters when planning the logistics of an event and is always required by large MICE customers.

RESULT

After the creation of the Sales-Kit, the Pestovo golf and yacht club sales department received a tool for pro-active sales: meetings with clients, email newsletters and other marketing activities.

The Sales Kit kicked off the development of a follow-up PR and advertising campaign to promote the club as a venue for events.

The process of creating the Sales Kit became a "revision" of the existing materials and revealed the weaknesses of the sales department, and the management was able to make timely decisions to correct them.
