Andrey Shemyakin, Managing Partner of PR and consulting company SEA Company, has joined the expert jury of the new national
Russian Traveler Awards: Road Trips, a major project launched by Russian Traveler magazine. The awards are supported by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, the National Association of Automobile Tourism and Caravanning, and Road Radio.
The awards will recognize the best solutions for road travel across two main sections. The seven infrastructure categories include motels and campsites, fuel and EV charging station networks, roadside dining, and the season’s leading automotive events. The fourteen automotive categories range from the best sedan for paved roads to body-on-frame SUVs, minivans, and electric vehicles. The categories were developed with the support of the ANO Project Office for Automobile Tourism under the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia and cover key elements of the road travel ecosystem that make driving routes across Russia more comfortable.
“Over the past few years, road trips have evolved from simply being a way to get from one destination to another into a travel experience in their own right. As their popularity grows, an entire ecosystem of services is developing around them – from road infrastructure to digital platforms and new travel formats. This makes it particularly interesting to evaluate projects that make road travel more convenient, diverse, and enriching,” said Andrey Shemyakin.
The awards launched on August 1. The shortlist will be announced on September 1, with the winners and the awards ceremony scheduled for October 2026.
